VIDEO: WBC Champion Tyson Fury Caught Lying About His Lifestyle Ahead of the Anthony Joshua Fight

WBC champion Tyson Fury appears to have contradicted his own statement regarding his ongoing training camp. He is reportedly scheduled to meet unified champion, Anthony Joshua, in an all-English clash for the heavyweight title unification this year.

Hence, it’s evident ‘The Gypsy King’ has already begun his training camp. Moreover, Tyson Fury has revealed that he is in fighting shape with an active camp. However, a few days back he said something different.

‘The Gypsy King’ appeared vexed with Anthony Joshua, and with no official developments to the matchup, he claimed of stopping his fight camp. In an interaction with ESPN, Tyson Fury expressed anger and dropped some bombarding statements.

“I’m not training anymore, I’m not training no more. I’ve never stopped training since December 2017. And even after these world title fights, I trained the next day. I go running 10 miles, doing things … I’m in the gym sparring and messing around,” said Tyson Fury.

He added, “I’m taking some time away from the game at the moment, because, like I said, I’ve been ready to fight since I beat Deontay Wilder last year. I’ve had no success in getting another fight. At the moment I’m just concentrating on getting me 10 pints of Stella.”

Meanwhile, his recent statements are absolutely different and can be alarming for unified champion Anthony Joshua. As we inch closer to the undisputed heavyweight battle, both champions appear to be in fighting mode, and Fury is ready to top the race.

Tyson Fury takes a different turn

In an interview with Behind The Gloves, Fury talked about several things going around his boxing career. But the main highlight was his contradictory statement regarding his training camp. As per Fury, he never left his practice and has remained active at the gym.

The undefeated champion said, “I have kept active, I have been in the gym. It’s not like I have been outside, been laying down at home, eating cream muffins and stuff. I have been in the gym every day. I am in the physical fighting fitness of my life. Like I don’t get any better than this.”

Fury hasn’t fought in a pro fight since his title win over Deontay Wilder in February 2020. He annihilated ‘The Bronze Bomber’ and became the first man to do so. While it planted the seeds for a heavyweight clash with ‘AJ’, Joshua watered the seeds with a KO win against Kubrat Pulev in December.

So, the stage is set. If the promoters carry forward the contractual deals and bring both teams under terms, the mega-clash is likely to happen this year.

Do you think Tyson Fury has finally spoken the truth about his training?
